Risk reports for recruiters
As a recruiter or employer, when you recruit someone you use your experience and gut feeling to gauge whether they are the right person for the role. You may even undertake references, credit checks, CRB checks to validate your decision. However, in the modern world where people live their lives online, would it not be sensible to profile what other checks and your gut instinct can't tell you? Get some help during the recruitment process with one or more of the searches below.

Social media is often the most revealing and where people are the most careless. Posts and comments can reveal extreme political views, other unhealthy opinions or simply demonstrate how a person interacts with friends, colleagues and strangers. News and media articles are also searched, as these can sometimes reveal interesting articles that someone may not have willingly volunteered about themselves. When running a search we continually update our search criteria to identify clues or possible links on an individual that might provide significant information. You could run a search like this yourself. We just have the knowledge to know where to look and how to do so more quickly. It is sometimes chasing down rabbit holes that go nowhere and you may decide it is not worth your time to do so.

A minority of people have accessed the dark web as there is very little to be found there for the average internet browser. However, those that have, could have accessed the dark web for illegal reasons and they are not always successful at covering their tracks. It is not difficult to obtain access to the dark web to do such checks yourself but it is not recommended if you are using a work laptop or desktop. The security risks and access to questionnable material means that your IT department are unlikely to approve your access to it.
This is a search for all the key information on companies linked to an individual, who often have more than one profile. Findings uncovered on the social media and dark web searches often reveal other business interests that also form part of the search that may not have been identified otherwise. Companies House data is of course accessible to all. What we do is collate the information about an individual's companies and provide it to you within one report. This can save you significant time in browsing through a number of companies and finding others of which you may not be aware.
